What the Pipelo timer actually does

During onboarding you pick the space between breaks. You can start reminders immediately or choose not now. Later, settings let you change the interval or pause notifications.

Pipelo schedules those reminders locally. They do not include the child’s nickname. If Focus is on, notification permission was denied, the phone is locked in a way that silences alerts, or the clock jumps, Apple’s system may delay or skip a notification. The app does not claim guaranteed alarm delivery.

Why families use a timer

Some children notice the need to go and can tell you. Others do better with a calm, repeating offer: after waking, after meals, before leaving the house. A timer is a way to remember those offers when the day is loud.

Pediatric sources describe both child-led and more structured routines. No single method is proven best for every family. A timer should stay a preference, not a rule, which is how Pipelo labels the interval picker.
